Curriculum The School curriculum covers the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board for Secondary Education, New Delhi for AISSE. One of the most striking features of the school-curriculum is the teaching of NCERT Books from the grass -root level. It covers subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Natural Science(Physics, Chemistry & Biology), Social Science (History, Geography, Civics & Economics) Physical Education, Sankrit, Computer, General Knowledge, Physical & Health Education, Art & Craft and work Experience.
The medium of instruction has been strictly been kept English for all classes and all the subjects except Hindi and Sanskrit.
library The library at Sunshine School emanates the ethos of the School. It is a major attraction for students as not only does it offer a variety of academic information, it also stimulates the intellectual pursuit of students in a lovely ambience.
Open from morning till late evening Library is open from morning till late evening and even till mid-night during examinations. Apart from books on subjects related to discipline and courses, there is a regular supply of books of general interest, magazines and daily newspapers. Well equipped with more than 70 journals in print, both national and international, the library supports the research needs across varied disciplines.
Well-equipped laboratory There is provision for a well-equipped laboratory under bonafide teachers to guide the students both theoretically and practically in almost all science subjects along with computer science.
Computer Education The school provides computer education from std. III onwards. This education is imparted both theoretically and practically under the skilled and trained teachers. It meant to meet and to cope up with the growing demands of our time.
House System There are four separate houses named Panini House, Patanjali House, Yajna - Valkya house and Mandan House. Each House has a captain and a Vice-captain under the patronage of a teacher to monitor the fair functioning of the house. Frequent curricular and extra-curricular contests are organized on the inter-house level to provide the students an opportunity for their personality development.
Examination & Promotion Rules
There will be two examinations as - The first Terminal, The Second Terminal, the marks of both examinations will be considered for the final result.
SSS has introduced continuous comprehensive Evaluation Scheme (CCE) in order to regularly monitor the students learning and instructional strategies used by its teachers. Obtaining 35% or more marks in each subject in agree-gate of all tests and examinations shall be desirable for promotion to the next higher class subject to the conditions that their attendance does not fall below 75%. Condonation of attendance up to 10% may be granted by the principal at his discretion, on grounds of illness of some natural calamity engulfing the family of a particular student. Besides promotion to the next class will be granted at the discretion of the principal. The weight age of assessment tests, and terminal examinations for the purpose of promotion would include :

Second Terminal Exam ------------------ 30%
No weight age will be given for absentee in assessment test terminal examinations except on grounds of severe illness of a prolonged tragedy in the family.
